Antique Farmhouse Chair

A good example of an antique farmhouse chair dating from the late 19th century. It has a shaped elm seat with curved arms supported by turned spindles. It is high backed with shaped splats and stands on turned legs joined by a double stretcher.

The chair stands approximately 43" (110cm) high. Arm to arm is 22" (56cm) wide and it is approximately 20" (51cm) deep. The seat is 17" (43cm) high.

It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use and some marks and light knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
