Oak Tilt-Top Occasional Table
late 18th Century
A lovely oak tilt-top table dating from the late 18th Century. It has a circular planked top set on a slender gun barrel turned support with tripod splayed legs. It has it's original blacksmith-made latch which is strong and in good order. There are some signs of old worm in the base and around the top which has all been treated as a precaution and has not affected the table structurally or aesthetically. The whole piece has a beautiful rich patina and is a lovely honest piece of country furniture.
