Tambour Fronted Filing Cabinet

Circa 1920

Lovely example of an early 20th Century oak filing cabinet with 11 internal shelves and an attractive tambour front. It is solidly built from oak and is excellent quality with a small brass handle, brass escutcheon and original ivorine makers plaque "The Stolzenberg (patent) File Co. 50 Bishopsgate Street Without, London EC".

It is in good usable condition. The tambour front slides smoothly and it comes with a working key. The shelves are clean and tidy with a few small chips on the edges but nothing detrimental. It is not without some small marks and knocks and signs of age and use but the oak has a wonderful rich patina and it displays beautifully.
