Edwardian Desktop Stationery Cabinet

Circa 1900

A beautiful oak stationery cabinet of the highest quality complete with original calendar. It has with a lovely warm patina and a sloped front with brass shield shaped escutcheon.

The doors opens up to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters. Above this is a perpetual desk calendar with winding knobs. There is also a pen tray and a pair of glass inkwells with hinged brass tops. Below this there is a large drawer that pulls out.

It is in good original condition and although it has been used it has been very well looked after over the years. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. There is a crack across the writing slab in the side door and it does not come with a key but nonetheless it is a nice example.
