Pitch Pine Refectory Table
A large pitch pine refectory table with a thick planked top and square chamfered legs joined by a central stretcher. It dates from the early 20th century and most likely came from a college or school and is very well made. It is very practical and a good height to sit at with ample leg clearance of 23 1/2" (60cm) all the way around. The table has good wide proportions, making it plenty big enough to seat 6 comfortably and allow for room down the middle of the table for serving dishes.
The top is able to be removed to make transporting it easier.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are signs of age and use, some marks and knocks but nothing detrimental. It is strong and sturdy and has been given a clean and light polish ready for use.
Length : 82" / 208cm
