Georgian Oak Corner Cupboard
A lovely antique oak corner cupboard dating from the late 18th century. It has two panelled doors, the top opening to reveal a painted shelved interior and the lower opening to reveal a cupboard space. It has a small drawer between the doors with brass knobs which match the cupboard doors and it stands on small bracket feet. The upper cupboard door comes with its original working key.
It is in good condition for its age and has developed a beautiful patina. There are signs of age and use, some historic woodworm in the back boards, some small marks and knocks and a small chip in the side above a back foot. There have been some repairs and restorations over the years, some replacement boards and some repair work done on the lower hinges but nothing untoward or detrimental. It is a sturdy piece which has been cleaned and given a light coat of wax and it is ready for use.
