Antique 30 Drawer Specimen Cabinet
A huge antique collectors cabinet with 30 graduating drawers dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It is an excellent quality piece with shaped wellington style columns flanking the drawers raised on castors. Behind the columns are spaces which can be accessed from the front or the back of the cabinet. It comes with both working keys so all drawers can be locked in place. The drawers have their original turned ebonised knobs and are numbered 1-30.
It is in good condition and displays very nicely. It has picked up a few minor knocks and scuffs over the years and has a chip on one knob but nothing detrimental and no major damages. The drawers all open and close smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside with a few small marks and old splits. The cabinet has suffered with woodworm at some point (see photos) and there are various old holes in the sides and a few in the back and drawer fronts. It has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the cabinet structurally or aesthetically.
