Antique Desktop Stationery Cabinet

Circa 1900

A beautiful oak stationery cabinet with an attractive curved tambour front and a lovely warm patina. The front rolls up to reveal a series of compartments for holding papers and letters. Above this there is a perpetual desk calendar with winding knobs. There is also a large drawer with ornate recessed brass handle, held in place by a metal pin. Inside the drawer is a pen tray and space for inkwells. The cabinet also comes with its original working key.

It is in excellent original condition and although it has been used it has obviously been very well looked after over the years. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and light use but nothing detrimental. The calendar works well and the whole piece displays beautifully.
