Large Antique Silver Bowl
A fine example of a good quality solid silver dish dating from around 1900. It is made from heavy gauge silver with a wavy form and ornate scrolling rim. It is a really well made piece and weighs approximately 518g.
The underneath of the dish is clearly hallmarked and stamped "5193. Sterling. AIRE". Above the Sterling mark is a partly worn hallmark for the American makers "Towle".
It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some surface marks and light scratches on the interior and particularly on the foot and some minor signs of age, use and tarnish but overall it displays well.
