Edwardian Oak Pipe Smoker's Cabinet

Circa 1900

A beautiful oak pipe smoker's cabinet with a lovely warm patina and a tambour front. The top lifts up to allow the tambour front to be pushed down. This simultaneously pushes up the pipe rack at the back of the cabinet. The cabinet has 2 drawers and a section which holds the original blue and brown ceramic tobacco jar.

It is in excellent original condition and although it has been used it has obviously been very well looked after over the years. There are some general signs of age and use, a few small knocks and marks around the outside and a small chip on the front corner but nothing detrimental. The tobacco jar is in good order with no damages and the whole piece displays beautifully. The cabinet does not come with a key.
