18th Century Oak Lowboy

A lovely oak Lowboy of small proportions set on tapering cabriole legs with pad feet and an arrangement of 3 drawers above a nicely shaped frieze. Dating from the early to mid 18th Century. The drawers are crossbanded with have brass plate handles.

It is in good condition for its age and has developed a lovely rich patina. There are some historic woodworm holes that have been treated as a precaution but haven't affected the table aesthetically or structurally. It has some signs of age and use, a small chip in the top and an old sturdy repair to the top of a back leg and some restoration to a worn back pad foot but nothing detrimental and it is strong and sturdy and displays beautifully.
