Edwardian Desktop Stationery Cabinet

Circa 1900

A beautiful oak stationery cabinet of the highest quality with a lovely warm patina and a sloped front with brass escutcheon.

The doors opens up to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters. There is also a pen tray and glass inkwell. Below this there is a large drawer with small wooden knob, held in place by a metal pin.

It is in good original condition and although it has been used it has obviously been very well looked after over the years. There have been some small repairs and there are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and light use and a small chip on the back corner but nothing detrimental. The inkwell is probably not original but is very good quality and fits nicely. The cabinet does not come with a key.
