Vintage Machinist's Stool
A lovely original factory stool dating from the early 20th Century. The round pine seat sits on a cast iron base with 3 splayed legs, each with a hole in the end where they would have originally been screwed to the floor. The stool is on a large threaded bolt which allows the seat to be spun and adjusted in height.
It is in good condition for its age. The adjustable revolving mechanism runs smoothly and the stool is very stable. The wooden top is original and in good condition with no splits or major damages. There are general signs of age and use and some marks on the top but nothing detrimental and it has developed a nice aged patina and displays very nicely. Certainly a very usable piece.
Approximate Measurements :
Height (at its lowest adjustable position) : 17" (43cm)
Height (at its highest adjustable position) : 22" (56cm)
Diameter of seat : 12" (30cm)
