Antique Silver Cream Jug

London, 1792

A fine example of a Georgian solid Silver milk or cream jug with an elegant reeded border around the rim and curved handle, stood on a square base. The jug is stylish and good quality, weighing approximately 85g. 

It is clearly hallmarked on the base for James Young, London, 1792. 

Approximate Measurements :

Height : 6" (15cm)

Base : 2" (5cm) square

Length : 4 1/2" (11cm)

It is in very good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint internal surface marks and a few light surface marks and minor dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
