Antique Silver Tea Pot
London / Dublin, 1896
 

A fine example of a large solid sterling silver tea or coffee pot with gadrooned base and elegant scrolling handle on four bun feet. It is engraved on one side with a small lion family crest. It is stylish and excellent quality, weighing a total of 863g with the handles. It is fully hallmarked for West & Son, London, 1896. The base is stamped '246. West & Son. Dublin' and also engraved 'From A.C'.

It is in very good condition for its age and the hallmark is clear. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface scratches and a few light surface marks and dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
