Large Antique Brass Dinner Gong
A superb brass tabletop dinner gong, dating from around 1900. It is excellent quality, made of heavy solid brass set on an oak base raised on four small bun feet. It comes with its original wooden beater. The gong itself is marked 'Burmese' - this is the brand and trademark of William Suckling of Birmingham, England. This mark dates the gong to the 1890s or the 1900s.
