Victorian Desktop Stationery Cabinet
A beautiful walnut stationery cabinet of the highest quality with a lovely warm patina and a sloped front with brass escutcheon.
The doors opens up to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters. There is also a pen tray and the side doors have a series of pins which can have ribbon attached to make a web to hold papers and documents etc. Below this there is a large concealed drawer in the bottom of the cabinet.
It is in good original condition and although it has been used it has obviously been very well looked after over the years. It would have originally had inkwells which are now missing and we also don't have a key however overall it displays beautifully. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and light use and a small repaired chip on the back but nothing detrimental.
