18th Century Oak Side Table
A charming country oak side table in completely original condition dating from the late 18th century. It stands on square chamfered legs with a wonderful shaped frieze below the single drawer. The drawer has its original brass plate handles and brass escutcheon.
It is in excellent original condition with a beautiful rich patina. The table is most likely Welsh in origin and the oak has a nice subtle red hue to it. The table is strong and sturdy and the drawer opens well. There are a few old woodworm holes that have been treated as a precaution. There are normal light signs of age and use, a few marks and stains on the top and a small chip on one corner of the drawer but nothing detrimental and overall it is a good honest little table.
