Georgian Tea Caddy
A fine example of an early 19th Century sarcophagus shaped Tea Caddy with a beautifully figured Mahogany outer. It comes with a hand blown glass mixing bowl, flanked either side by lidded tea compartments. The tea caddy stands on round brass ball feet and the lids to the compartments have matching handles.
It is in very good condition for its age and displays beautifully. There are a few small natural bubbles and imperfections in the glass bowl but no major damages and it has a lovely ring to it. I could not say whether it was original however it fits the hole well and is certainly a bowl of the right age. The inside is clean and tidy however the lining has been removed from the tea compartments. The exterior has a wonderful rich patina. There are some small signs of wear and age but nothing detrimental and it displays beautifully.
