Tudric Pewter Art Nouveau Vase
Designed by Archibald Knox for sale at Liberty & Co
Stunning twin handled Pewter vase in a striking Art Nouveau design, dating from the early 1900s.
It is a large vase measuring 10 1/2" (27cm) tall. It has a diameter handle to handle of 9" (23cm) and an opening diameter of 5 1/2" (14cm).
The body has a dimpled type texture and the handles come down in an arrow shape finishing in three points where it joins the body of the vase.
On the base of the vase is impressed "MADE IN ENGLAND. 0971. TUDRIC". It is an iconic design by Archibald Knox that was retailed at Libertys.
The vase has been well used but is in good condition. There are no major dents or damage and it displays beautifully. The top rim has some small dents and dinks in it and the inside surface has various marks and signs of wear (see photo) but nothing that detracts from the overall vase.
The vase has been lightly polished to bring up a nice shine. It has not been over polished and retains a lot of its dark patina. It could of course be polished up a lot brighter if desired.
