Edwardian Upholstered Tub Chair
Lovely example of a small Mahogany framed tub chair dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It is a pretty shape with stylised spindles, turned arms and turned bulbous legs terminating in small brass castors. The chair has been recently upholstered in a good quality, stylish red fabric that compliments the chair.
The chair is in good overall condition. It runs well on its castors and is a good sturdy chair. The seat is firm and comfortable and there are no major damages to the wooden frame. There are signs of age and use, some general light marks and small knocks around the legs and some small tack holes in the rear rail from previous upholstery but nothing detrimental. The castors are later replacements but look in keeping with the chair.
