Antique 3 Draw Pocket Telescope
Good example of a high quality pocket telescope dating from the late 19th century. It is a powerful leather clad telescope with brass tubes and a protective brass end cap.
The condition of the telescope is very good for its age. It is fully functional with undamaged lenses, however it is missing the small cover to the eyehole at the end of the telescope. The lenses are generally clean and they produce a clear and crisp image, although I expect they would probably benefit from a clean. The tubes have some small dents and signs of wear and the leather has some general scuffs and sigs of age. The draws have a smooth but firm action and the brass has been cleaned and polished.
Approximate Measurements :
Closed Length : 6" (15cm)
Extended Length : 16 1/2" (42cm)
Front Lens Diameter : 1 1/2" (4cm)
This is a lovely telescope but it is old so please don't buy it expecting it to be like new. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
