Mahogany Bow-Fronted Chest of Drawers
Georgian, circa 1820
Lovely mahogany chest of drawers of nice small proportions - a good size to sit below a window or in a small room. It has beautiful flame mahogany veneer and is set on bracket feet with two short and two long drawers. The drawers are oak lined and it has an attractive bow-front with small brass plate handles.
It is in good condition and is a sturdy piece that has been well made and well looked after. The drawers are clean and tidy and all run well. It is not without a few small surface marks and some minor historic repairs but only as to be expected with a piece of this age. The handles are not original and have been replaced at some point and the back of the chest has also been replaced with a new good quality piece of wood. Overall a lovely piece that displays very well.
