Victorian Upholstered Ottoman
Good example of a 19th Century Ottoman upholstered with a Kilim style fabric. It is a very pretty shape with concave sides and it is set on four castors with turned wooden caps. It has a hinged lift up lid and is fully lined inside.
The ottoman is in good condition for its age. It is strong and sturdy and the inside is clean and tidy. One of the wooden caps on the back castor is slightly different to the others but it isn't noticeable. We have left the original fabric on which has nicely worn and faded over time but still looks clean and tidy. There is an area on one side which has been scratched by a cat at some point (see photo). We have tidied this up and it isn't overly detrimental. We have also replaced the braid to freshen it up and overall it displays very nicely.
