Antique Oak Dresser
A fine example of a period oak dresser dating from the early 19th century. The base contains three frieze drawers with three central dummy drawers flanked by a pair of enclosed cupboards and has its original shelved plate rack with molded cornice. It is set on bracket feet with a fully planked back. Each drawer and cupboard has a small brass handle.
It is in good condition throughout and is a clean sturdy piece of furniture. It is not without some signs of age and use but this has all helped to develop a beautiful rich patina over the years. There is no major damage and the drawers all run well. It has been well maintained and as such there are some historical repairs on the rear legs and other places but all have been done well. It has been given a thorough clean and light wax and is ready use.
