Very fine example of a beautifully hand painted Moorcroft vase. The vase displays very well and is unmistakably Moorcroft.
The vase was commissioned in 2001 to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The pattern is set on a dark blue background and shows beautiful flowers celebrating the United Kingdom including Daffodils, Thistles and Clovers.
Approximate Measurements :
Height : 6 1/2" (16cm)
Base Diameter : 3" (8cm)
Widest Diameter : 4 1/2" (12cm)
The vase is in excellent condition.
There are no chips, cracks or restoration and the colours are bright and vibrant. For complete accuracy, on the underside of the vase there are some small light crazing lines. It hasn't affected the body of the vase apart from one small line across a pink flower. It is barely noticeable and I struggled to pick it up with the camera but I have shown it as best as I can.
The vase is fully stamped and signed on the underneath.
The best description I can give comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions at all please ask.
